In Kilifi County and across Coastal Kenya, critical conversations about social issues are often ignored, misunderstood, or difficult to approach. Topics like gender equality, health, mental well-being, and behavior change remain clouded by stigma, misinformation, and cultural taboos. Without open discussions and relatable ways to address these challenges, communities struggle to break harmful cycles and embrace progress.
At Visions Magnet Theatre, we believe that art is a powerful catalyst for change. As a Community-Based Organization (CBO) based in Kilifi County, we use interactive theatre, puppetry, and peer-led discussions to spark dialogue, challenge harmful beliefs, and inspire positive transformation. Through engaging performances, we bring real-life issues to the stage, allowing communities to reflect, relate, and take action.
Our innovative approach makes difficult conversations accessible, thought-provoking, and impactful. Whether through live theatre or puppetry, we create safe spaces where audiences—especially youth—can explore solutions, share experiences, and develop new perspectives. By blending creativity with education, we don’t just tell stories—we create movements that leave lasting change.
